I am honored to be fulfilling
my role as the club's treasurer and sending out quarterly awards during my term as a director for the Ameraucana Alliance.
Currently, I raise bantam black, wheaten, and blue wheaten Ameraucana as well as a few other breeds such as large fowl Sumatra, bantam Rhode Island Red, and bantam New Hampshire. Ameraucana are a top contender as my favorite breed. Although they all have something to offer, the Ameraucana are by far the most well rounded bird for me to keep.
I live in South Central Wisconsin and work as a Certified Veterinary Technician in a small animal (primarily feline and canine) practice. Every day I strive to improve the lives of the animals and families that I get to meet. Outside of work, I can also be found out in the chicken yard, working with my dogs, and wandering the woods.
From late summer through fall, I attend most – if not all – of the poultry shows in Wisconsin as well as occasionally some out of state. A few of my favorites are the Coulee Region Poultry Show, the Wisconsin International Poultry Show, and the Northwoods Poultry Fanciers Show.
